Case details
Artificial intelligence, like the mythological Leviathan, represents a powerful and feared force that brings chaos and terror. Similarly, AI raises concerns about the inevitable changes threatening the role of the designer. This talk will explore my personal experience with the three main dimensions of this transformation. Design Process: AI is revolutionizing design processes, offering the opportunity to reduce development times and improve the quality of final products while keeping costs under control. Human-Machine Interaction: The impact of AI on user behavior and the facilitation of interactions is introducing new paradigms and critical points to consider in UX design. Design for Data Managers: A new and complex role is emerging for designers, focused on creating products for data professionals such as data scientists and DevOps. These tools require a deep understanding of highly technical domains, with a significant gap between the designer's background and the content to be designed. I will share my personal experience in designing "difficult products," exploring the unique challenges of creating tools for the creation, control, and monitoring of AI models. Finally, two crucial themes will be addressed: the ethical implications of AI usage and the environmental impact related to the energy consumption of these emerging technologies. This speech will provide a comprehensive overview of the future of UX in a world increasingly dominated by artificial intelligence with practical examples.
