Case details
IoT is messy. Even with the increase of Internet-connected devices, number of frameworks and protocols and standards, shouldn't it actually just boil down to sending the correct TCP/UDP messages? It should and actually does. In this talk, we will show how a simple abstraction allows us to build Node.js or Web applications so that we can talk to any device on the Internet. We will start with the concepts and then show the inner workings of node-wot with a live-coding session. Node-wot uses the Web of Things standards so that we don't need change anything in the existing devices but bring all the benefits of web-like programming.
