In this talk, we’ll first talk about the use cases for voice-enabled apps and how do they fit into the web ecosystem? I’ll start with a demo of a fun/cool little project that I built and then unravel it’s story about what are the kind of problems one would face and explore possible solutions. Then, we’ll look into the web speech api and talk about different synthesizers, speech recognition models and even some of the third party services which we can use. Last, but not the least we’ll talk about importance of voice enabled apps in driving & raising standards for web accessibility.
