Adding quality to the development process is crucial these days, where CI-CD is a must with DevOps practices. In this talk Javier Re will tell us, how with a simple model you can add automated functional tests to the deployment pipelines, to get early feedback about the quality of what we are delivering. He will take a look at a set of endpoints of the microservice under study, integrated and deployed through a CI-CD pipeline. He will demonstrate how through automated tests using Gherkin, integrated to the existing pipeline and adding the necessary quality checks, developers can get immediate feedback regarding the existing functionality of the endpoints. He will conclude the talk by showing how this set of automated tests can be gradually increased in order to obtain a greater coverage and thus achieve a better quality of the endpoints.
