AV has long been the greatest robotics challenge in history, not only does it have insane technical challenges but also has massive societal impact and huge business value. With the advances in ML and computer science, more and more things are getting automated (e.g., autopilot) and even surpass human's performances planes (e.g., strategy games), but computers have not yet being fully able to take a task as complex as driving and automate it. In this talk, we focus on two topics. The first one is on how ML models help AV understanding the world and how we build a system that continously improving the ML models over each mile driven on the road.
