Redux has been the backbone of many React apps for years now, it has become a comfort-zone for React developers, and its architecture is inextricably woven into countless codebases around the world. But Redux is a large library that requires large amounts of overhead and boilerplate, a not-very-intuitive project structure, and lots of domain knowledge to keep it neatly maintained. In this talk I will look at MobX and MobX-State-Tree as an example of the performant, lightweight, functional reactive future of React state-management.
