In this session, I will be discussing what are the different types of payment gateway and best practices to integrate gateways into android applications. For integrating the showcase, I will use Braintree as a payment gateway provider. We will discuss the best way to integrate Braintree into the android application with best coding practices and coding standards. We will discuss how we can connect the android application with the Braintree server and how we can support credit/debit card and PayPal payments in the android application. The integration consists of mainly 3 steps. 1. Set up the client side - How to add Braintree's initial setup in the android application 2. Drop-in UI - The easiest way to collect customer payment information via client SDK with the drop-in UI component provided by Braintree in the android application. 3. How to send nonce to server - To collect the nonce from Braintree Drop-in UI in the android application and send it to the server for successful transactions.
