Case details

Testing is hard. At Cypress, we aim to make it easier and more approachable for developers. You might have heard of Cypress and how it excels at end-to-end testing, but did you know you can use Cypress to test individual React components? With Cypress Component Testing, you can now test your React components in isolation using the same tools, and APIs developers love with Cypress. Mount your components in a real browser, build them visually, and use the same developer tooling you are used to in your normal developer workflow. In this session, we’ll go over how to add Cypress to a React project, set up component testing, and go over the common scenarios you will run into when testing your React components. We’ll also go over strategies of when you should choose end-to-end testing over component tests and vice versa. You’ll leave with the knowledge and resources you need to get started adding quality tests to your React apps.
