Case details

The software we build thrives on diverse professional profiles, and testing is no exception. Karen, an IT-focused testing leader, and Andrés, a biologist turned tester, share how diverse expertise drives innovation. This talk highlights T-shaped (broad knowledge), M-shaped (multi-specialization), and X-shaped (technical leaders) profiles, offering strategies to identify and align them with project needs. We’ll explore how cross-disciplinary knowledge enriches testing and adds value at every stage.

About Author

QA Manager

I´ve almost 10 years of experience in testing and the QA world, starting as a junior functional tester. I´ve continued my journey in different projects with varying realities, working on automated projects, participated in performance testing, and discovered my interest in usability and accessibility, so I decided to study more about that. In the latest years, I have decided to take on the challenge of managing different testing projects and teams, and with it, I discovered what I like more: working with people.
