In this speech, I will explore the innovation in the world of design systems for 2023. I will show & tell our Figma design system, developed in parallel with the React design system, where HTML and development merge. In Radicalbit, we have adopted the ABEM approach to name Figma layers and ensure that props and component names align with the development. This synergy has improved collaboration among teams. Our design system offers a common language, shared patterns, scalable solutions, and a significant reduction in development time. Moreover, by minimizing CSS development efforts, we have simplified the work for FE developers. Our 5-year experience with such a design system has been crucial. Our teams employ this system not only for our main product, for machine learning engineers to manage, monitor, and observe AI models, but also for other products targeting end-users with a unique look and feel.
