It is very error-prone and time-consuming to secure cloud resources, and there are many examples of data breaches caused by misconfiguration of the cloud resources like S3 buckets or Cloud storage accounts. However, there are a couple of technical approaches that your team can use to mitigate these risks. Namely, by eliminating manual configuration and shifting to infrastructure-as-code (IaC) organizations can minimize this threat and improve the security compliance posture of the project. In our organization, we are focused on eliminating these risks by following DevSecOps principles, and I am practicing IaC to version control resource and configuration changes in the cloud environments.
